We stand for a blend of tradition, intellectual exchange and community spirit. Our society takes its name after Robert Gascoyne-Cecil, 3rd Marquess of Salisbury (1830 to 1903), a dominate British Prime Minister in the late Victorian era.
Our Society motto is ‘Bread, thought, and fellowship’
We host quarterly dinner events where we discuss Lord Salisbury lasting legacy and the impact of his values in today’s modern world. We usually host speakers from different charities as we aim to support worthwhile causes whilst also learning about this British titan of the late Victorian era. We align ourselves with measured debate, eloquence and principled conservatism.
