Designed by Sir Christopher Wren after the Great Fire of London in 1666, our church was described by Sir John Summerson as ‘the pride of English Architecture.’ It is also the ‘Home of Samaritans’ founded at St Stephen Walbrook by Rector Dr Chad Varah in 1953. St Stephen Walbrook continues to shine as a beacon of faith and community within the Square Mile.
